KATE + MARK

HOW TO GET TO TULUM

We will be in Tulum Wednesday April 28th through Monday May 3rd. We’ve talked to many guests about extending their trip through Monday and we'd love if you can spend extra days in the area.

Our welcome party starts Thursday evening at 8pm. If you’re coming on Thursday, try and book an earlier flight. Tulum is a 90 minute drive from the Cancun airport and it will take a little more than two hours from your landing time until you reach your hotel.

Once you're in Cancun, you will need to take a 90 minute shuttle or taxi south to Tulum. It's very easy to arrange your own private transportation once you land at the Cancun airport. If you would prefer to use our concierge service, we will match you with other wedding guests and schedule a shared shuttle. See details below.

Getting There

Flights

You will fly into the Cancun airport (CUN). All major airlines fly to Cancun and Southwest is continuing to add flights each day.

Shuttle or Taxi

Once you're in Cancun, you will need to take a 90 minute shuttle or taxi south to Tulum. The easiest way to arrange your own shuttle is stop at the shuttle service counter on your way out of the airport. The cost is normally around $170 for a private roundtrip shuttle. We’ve used Cancun Shuttle and Super Shuttle in the past for private transfers.

Shuttle via Concierge

We also have the pleasure of working with a wedding concierge. If you are looking to book a shuttle with other wedding guests please email Mark at mark@scolaros.com with your flight arrival and departure information and we’ll get you a shuttle reserved with other guests arriving at the same time.

Rental Car

We don't recommend renting a car unless you have planned day-trip excursions to Chichen Itza, Coba, or far away cenotes. Once you get to your hotel you are a short walk or $5 taxi away from everything in Tulum.
